Loop It Up: Amplified
In 2019, Loop It Up Savannah introduced the Mindfulness Zone, a program for helping local children navigate emotionally challenging situations. Inspired by the program’s success, the community sought to expand its reach. Our mission was clear: to amplify Loop It Up Savannah’s impact and foster a more resilient, trauma-responsive community.
Alongside the design proposal, our team offered to redesign Loop It Up’s website. Loop It Up happily accepted, using our work as inspiration for the official website redesign.

“Everyone wants more, more, more of what we do.”
— Ashley Kendrick, Mindfulness Zone Program Director, Loop It Up Savannah
My Role
As Creative Director, I guided the team through every phase of the 10-week human-centered design process, from interview transcription and data synthesis to live prototyping.
Near the end of the project, I created style guides and provided live feedback on the visual direction for proposal boards and Loop It Up Savannah’s website redesign. I also co-led the final pitch presentation to Loop It Up Savannah’s executive director, Molly Lieberman. This presentation detailed both the project’s extensive research and a proposal for the Mindfulness Zone.
“The kids love everything about the Mindfulness Zone Program. Whether it’s learning to calm their bodies or communicate about why they are upset, it’s just been awesome. You can really see a change in them.”
— Stephanie Glover, School Counselor, Juliette Low Elementary School
The Process
Using Design Thinking, we conducted primary and secondary research to define the community’s needs. Stakeholder interviews, contextual inquiries, and bodystorming fueled our divergent and convergent thinking techniques, which uncovered insights that supported our potential concepts for Loop It Up Savannah’s expansion.
Our research revealed the community’s readiness for trauma-responsive growth and Loop It Up Savannah’s potential as the catalyst for change. With these insights, we crafted a strategy that empowers children, parents, Loop It Up Savannah, and the greater community to create lasting change.
“My hope is that the program grows in ways that are helpful and relevant throughout the Savannah community and beyond.”
— Molly Lieberman, Executive Director, Loop It Up Savannah
The Proposal
We developed a strategic roadmap to scale the Mindfulness Zone, reinforcing Loop It Up Savannah’s efforts in impacting the broader community. This proposal combines speculative design, foresight, and regenerative thinking to aid in the expansion of mindfulness practices, helping Savannah become a trauma-responsive city.
Designed as a practical resource, the proposal also equips Loop It Up Savannah for applying for grants, forming partnerships, and presenting Parent and Community programs to other organizations.
